Any one of our A+ probes can be used for spot sampling, but only one has been designed specifically for Spot Sampling. Our Genie® 701 Portable Membrane Probe is designed to extract a liquid-free representative sample for spot sampling applications. It is compact, efficiently-designed and easy to insert and retract, making it easy to bring from site to site. Incorporating our Genie® Membrane Technology™ at the tip of the probe allows for entrained liquids to be rejected inside of the flowing line at the prevailing temperature and pressure, assuring that no liquid contaminants reach the inside of the sample cylinder. This minimizes potential sample distortion caused by the effects of adsorption when the cylinder is heated at the lab for gas analysis. When using the Model 701 for spot sampling, our flow restrictor and Spot Sampling Manifold are recommended. The flow restrictor prevents liquid from being forced through the membrane as a result of excessive flow while the Spot Sampling Manifold provides an easy means to connect the cylinder to the probe and purge the sample path from probe tip to cylinder inlet valve. Ordering information for the Spot Sampling Manifold can be found on here. The Genie® 701 Portable Sample System for Portable Analyzers, is a simple, safe and quick solution to provide a representative vapor phase sample from a pressurized line.
